Started a cleanse. Day 16

So I've decided to ruin my life via advocare.  Started their 10 day cleanse to hopefully make right all the wrongs I made when I was back home.  Did the fiber drink in the morning, and it wasn't bad at all.  If you can a smoothie then you drink this stuff.  Then at night you take three probiotic pill supplements.  Hopefully I survive this!

It was gorgeous out today as well and I had to drive home at lunch to pick up Jared to run some errands and I was like it's bike day....I'm going to ride my bike outside!  Well other than being in  time crunch and not having enough time to finish my entire ride I still did get some training in.  The new bike seat is amazing and so is the new Garmin.

My diet was okay, since I had picked up Jared we decided to go to lunch, we had deli subs and they were so good, but probably not the best dietary choice.  I guess there are worse things to eat.

Weight: 157.8
Diet.....pretty good but not perfect
Exercise:
Bike ride 15 miles 45 mins!

Ready to be back on track. Day 15

Feeling more and more like myself.  Made it to the gym today and did a quick weight workout followed by a swim.  I love working out my arms because they always look so cut afterward, however it doesn't last all that long.
Also these are the headphones that my husband bought for me....they are amazing I love them!  If you don't have these you are missing our yurbuds are a win.
My overall day was a little overwhelming since I was back at work for the first day since my father passed.  I would say overall it was a pretty good day.  I had to order my garmin and the place that we ordered it from called at lunch that it had came in, I couldn't get there past enough!  I got it back to work and plugged it in....15 manuals.....REALLY!  oh well I guess it take a lot of reading to learn something so amazing.  I had a 45 min run to do and it was 55F outside....uh what?!?!  New watch....warm weather.....couldn't wait to get back out there and start running!  Around 3:30 I skipped out of work and went for a run.  I felt great out there, I thought that I would struggle with the run since I hadn't ran outside much lately but I killed it!  great pace and felt strong the entire run.

Diet was pretty good, the only that shouldn't have had was a starbucks.....one of my good friends came to talk and bought me coffee....did you say free??  Well I won't say no to FREE!!
Overall I consider the day a win.

Exercise:
run:  5.35 / 45mins
Swim:  1000 m
Weights:  Back/bis

Weight:  159.8

Diet:  Spot....minus starbucks!

Just too much! Day 14

Well got back home but just couldn't quite get back into my normal groove.  I did however get the grocery shopping done so that was one less thing to worry about.  I didn't workout though.  However my husband who is so absolutely wonderful bought me the new garmin 910XT it's specific for triathlons, a new bike seat, and some new headphones.  He absolutely loves me!

I was surprised that I didn't gain any weight while I was back in Nebraska!  So I felt a little better about things!

Weight: 159.8
Exercise....meh!
Diet:  I was pretty good since I did grocery shop

Tragedy Struck. Days 6-13

Day 6 (9 Feb) was supposed to be a long bike ride, but I had gotten word that my father was very ill in the hospital and not doing so well.  I had to fly to Denver, CO to say good bye to my father.
Day 7 (10 Feb) was the day my father passed away.  Also the day my husband was coming back from Qatar because we already knew that my father wasn't going to make it through complications he had with a recent surgery.  It was very unexpected and a very difficult time for my family.

Day 8 (11 Feb) Spend the day with my mother and sister planning my father's funeral.

Day 9 (12 Feb) thought maybe I could go for a run finally, I was just spending the day with my mother getting some of the arrangements done.  Checked the weather channel.....-15F windchill, rather than running decided to spend the day with my mother!  My husband and daughter showed up late that night.

Day 10 (13 Feb) worked on funeral arrangements with my sister and brother in law and then came back to my mom's and spent time with the family.

Day 11 (14 Feb) it was finally warm enough to go for a run.  I was so excited!  Did a quick 6 mile run. Don't know how long it took me but I did it and it was wonderful, spent the rest of the day organizing the remaining events for the funeral.

Day 12 (15 Feb) Day of the funeral.  Enough said.

Day 13 (16 Feb) heading back to St. Louis today.  It has been a very difficult time to get any exercise done.  It was been nothing but eating and crying and spending time with family.  I'm pretty happy that I at least did one 6 mile run, even though nothing else happened the whole time.  It just wasn't the time to focus on anything except for my family!

I'll be back soon and training can start all over again from the beginning, and dieting too....that will have to start over as well.  I actually ordered advocare 10 day cleanse, so I'm pretty excited to start that. Not so excited to get on the scale tomorrow when I get back but I am ready for the challenges that are ahead of me.

What a massive fail!! Day 5

So I have determined through calculated hours of thought that bread pudding has the ability to ruin lives!

So yesterday Day 5....long run day.  I was totally ready for it I knew with everything going on that it was going to be a challenge but I was ready for it.  Obviously I was NOT ready for it!  NOT EVEN CLOSE!
I threw my friend a baby shower and it was amazing, she loved it and got a lot of good stuff.  However when you put together a baby shower you also have food..... a lot of food.  Since there were so many great things to chose from I decided that I could have a little something.  Well that little something turned into an entire 9x13 pan of bread pudding.  Before long I didn't even bother with putting it on a plate, I was eating it right from the pan.  Out of control.
Then after that I didn't get to the gym and I didn't make it to my triathlon clinic that I had planned to attend.  Then I ordered pizza and ate almost the entire thing.  Seriously, who falls off the wagon that badly!  I fell off and the wagon ran over me.
Weight: 160.2
Diet:  RIGHT?!
Exercise:  nope....nada....nothing!

REST DAY!! Day 4

WOOT WOOT REST DAY!!

I don't know who I think I am kidding.....I'm kind of ticked that it is rest day.  I was getting a good groove going and then what happens....I don't work out today??  WHAT?!?!  I know my body needs to recover and it will just make my long workouts this weekend better, but seriously I'm still not happy about it.
Since there will be no exercising then I really need to stay strict on my diet.  Can I do it?  Sure?? no I mean SURE!!

So I went to have my body fat measured today in the BodPod.  Well I did it back in October was at 21.2% body fat, which isn't too shabby.  So today I was hopeful that things would be better in that area and I was at 19.9%!!  A lose of 1.3%.....EXCITED!!  I think I will be happy if I get into the low 18's or high 17's.

Diet for today was good.  Breakfast was spot on, morning and afternoon snack were good....Lunch I ate out but I had a vegan soup bowl with chicken.....and it was amazing!  High on the sodium so I will probably be bloated like crazy but otherwise super healthy.  Then came dinner.....and it just didn't happen, I wasn't hungry and I was out running around so got home late and then just had no appetite.

The day was good, could have been better....but with no workout today and an OK diet I'm satisfied.  Tomorrow I'm putting on a baby shower for a good friend with good food, I have to stay focused and I have to get in a 50 minute run at some point.  Which it will probably be too cold to run outside so more in door running track.

Weight: 159.2
Exercise... none :(
Diet: MEH, but definitely didn't over eat!

Thankful For a Shorter Run. Day 3

I am finding myself scheduling my entire day around my workout schedule.  It seems that generally people have a hard time getting to the gym, but I have the opposite problem I can't find time for other things because I'm working out.  I can't make it to work until 9am today because I have to swim.  Asking Jada do you want to go the gym with me or stay at school aftercare until 6pm (she picked aftercare).  There are a lot of times that I don't think I'm going to be able to get everything done, however I just don't really watch any TV unless I'm on the bike trainer.
Super excited that I only have to run for 30 minutes today.  I love running it is my first passion and it also is what has brought me to my current state of craziness, however with the weather so frickin cold and snow/ice packed roads I get the opportunity to run inside.  Don't have to run on the treadmill though, indoor running track which is not quite as annoying but 12 laps to make a mile sometimes it is difficult to keep counting that long.
So finished my morning workout strong.  Did a chest and bicep workout followed by a 1000m swim.  I felt amazing in the pool.  It is the fastest and smoothest I have ever felt, only bad part, shoulders were hurting from shoveling snow yesterday.  The afternoon workout consisted of a 30 minute run.  I cant stand the indoor running track but its better than the treadmill.

overall the day was a success ....
weight 159.6
swim 1000 meters
run 30 minutes maybe 4 miles...but not sure
diet: OUTSTANDING!
